Portal System

The Mount portal allows students to access course material, view a professor's web page or do research in the Library of Congress

You can also view your current student information including grades, unofficial transcripts, account balances and payment history, coursework, class attendance history, and assignments (depending on your instructor). The Portal also provides student e-mail tools. There are also e-mail directories within courses and campus wide, pictures of your classmates, campus news, forums, chat rooms and just plain fun stuff.

This portal is located on campus, so there should be a minimum of speed delays or bandwidth issues associated with accessing this system while on campus. Once you are off campus, you may be subject to typical Internet delays.

How do we sign on?

At any connected browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape for example) you can type http://portal.msmary.edu to be directed to our login screen. If you’re on campus, just type the word PORTAL in the address bar (caps not necessary) to go directly to our site.

At the login and password prompt, use the same login that you use for email. This is in the form of ... mount/email-username for "Username" and your email password in the password line. Example:

Username: mount/jeffrogers

Password: xxxxxxxxx

This is a new portal. You will not have access to all of the historical information stored on the previous Jenzabar.com system. Many of the options from the “Personal Information" page are still available. First click on "Student" in the upper right hand corner after you login and accept any agreements that may come up, then you will see ”Student Information," "Grade Information," as well as many other links that will take you to familiar tools.

If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, click around to find out what is available on our site. Many of the Mount’s instructors will be placing their course syllabus, handouts, questions, and web links on the Portal for you to use as part of your class materials.
