MOUNT ST. MARY’S STUDENT LAPTOP PROGRAM

Get Mobile. Go Global.
Purchase a Dell laptop through the Mount and you’ll be going whoooooosh in no time!

The Mount’s laptop ownership program through Dell makes buying a computer easier—and more affordable—than ever! Because we continue to receive requests from students and parents for assistance with computer purchasing and support, the Mount is offering students a sweet deal on a Dell laptop, complete with all software. Even the printer is included! Plus, you’ll never have to worry about maintenance with our four-year, on-site warranty!

You’ll connect at fast, network speed to the web, e-mail, the library, and your class pages from anywhere at the Mount. Our many wireless areas on campus let you surf without limits, from the Café, to Congress, to Cairo—with full access to our academic network. All you’ll need is your laptop purchased through this program!

"Participation in the laptop program is a great way for students to make the best use of the technology resources available at the Mount and will certainly contribute to their academic success here." - David B. Rehm, Associate Provost for Academics

We’re so wired we’re wireless!
Mount St. Mary’s has one of the most extensive wireless networks around. Which means, in addition to use in the library and academic buildings, your laptop will come in handy when researching the Great Wall of China while watching a basketball game, visiting the Pyramids of Giza between classes in our student center, or, as you join your friends in the lounge, looking for a book from the Library of Congress.

Dude, you’ll be getting a Dell, and flexible payment options, too!
Get ready for an unbeatable price! All this is available for an amazingly low price of just $1,250 * + 5% Maryland tax. Choose to prepay when ordering, or spread your payments over the year (normal finance charges may apply).

This exceptional laptop package, at almost 50 percent below Dell’s normal retail price, offers everything you’ll need during your college days—including a personal color inkjet printer; Microsoft XP Pro; Microsoft Office XP and McAfee VirusScan, and all upgrades, for four years. Most importantly, a four-year nationwide onsite PC warranty with CompleteCare is included—which means if you have a hardware or software problem, just contact our helpdesk and you’ll be back online in no time!

Watch out for more information coming soon, on how to join this exciting program! Your computer will be waiting for you when you arrive on campus in August!

Questions >>

Q. I already have a desktop or laptop computer. Can I still bring it to campus?
A. Yes, but for campus network security reasons you may not connect it to the Mount’s computer network.

Q. I don’t wish to participate in this program. Are there other computers on campus available for student use?
A. Absolutely! With more than 150 personal computers available in our seven public labs—many open 24 hours a day—you’ll definitely stay connected.

Q. What happens if I have a problem with my laptop purchased though this program?
A. Simply contact our helpdesk. If the problem is hardware, we’ll call Dell and provide you with a loaner laptop while it’s being repaired. If it’s software related, we’ll reload the program for you—all free of charge!

Q. Does CompleteCare include coverage for theft or intentional damage?
A. Coverage is limited to accidental damage and hardware failure. Loss may be covered as part of your family homeowners policy, but check to make sure.
