The office of communications works with local, regional and national media to keep the public informed about the Mount’s programs, campus events, student, faculty, alumni and administrative initiatives. We also work with reporters seeking expert comment on breaking news or societal trends.
If you have an event you would like to publicize, are working on an interesting project, recently published a book or scholarly article, received a recent award, or just want to bounce around story ideas, please contact Kate Charuhas charuhas@msmary.edu or at x 4419. Be sure to include the 5 ‘W’s’: what, when, where, who and why it is newsworthy. Quotes and photographs are always welcome!
Please contact us for a news release at least three weeks in advance of the event you would like to publicize. If you would like to advertise the event, please contact us at least six weeks in advance. See Marketing and Advertising for more information.
