A Coach Speaks Out!
Rev. Joseph Ehrmann, former Baltimore Colts player, and a committed social activist will examine how the media, the sports area, marketing and messages perpetuate the three lies of false masculinity and femininity, which contributes to a culture of violence, emotional invulnerability, stoicism, incivility, poverty, and immorality. Mr. Erhmann believes that masculinity and femininity must be defined in terms of relationships and our capacity to love and be loved.

“A Tribute to Rosa Parks, A Woman who Dared…”
Kimberly LaMarque, an actress and assistant professor at Tennessee State University , will bring to life the courageous woman who became known as the “Mother of the Civil Rights Movement.” Through a performance lecture, LaMarque will recreate the life and character of Rosa Parks, who was arrested in 1955 in Montgomery , Alabama , for refusing to give up her bus seat.

“A Chinese Lion Dance Show”
Featuring the Wong Chinese Lion Dancers who are the leading Lion Dancers in the United States . Every year, they are the main attraction of the Annual Chinese New Year parade in Washington , DC 's Chinatown . The group has appeared at events and venues including the White House, the Smithsonian Museum , and the Kennedy Center .

Seminar: “Building Inclusive Communities:
Techniques for Civil Dialogue Anchored in Faith”
Rev. Eric Law, internationally known author and consultant in multicultural leadership and organization will help us to explore the role of dialogue in our community. This dynamic, interactive seminar will further our understanding of the value of dialogue and provide techniques for workable, inclusive communities.
Rev. Law, an ordained Episcopal priest, serves as a consultant for numerous Catholic organizations and leaders of religious groups.
