There are three ways to give through your will:
Specific Amount—designates a sum of money or specific property.
Sample: "I give, devise and bequeath to Mount St. Mary’s College and Seminary, Inc., Emmitsburg, Maryland 21727 $____________ to be used for general purposes by the Seminary.
Percentage—
Sample: "I give, devise and bequeath to Mount St. Mary’s College and Seminary, Inc., Emmitsburg, Maryland 21727 a portion of my residuary estate equal to %______ thereof, to be used for general purposes by the Seminary.
Residue—
Sample: "I give, devise and bequeath to Mount St. Mary’s College and Seminary, Inc., Emmitsburg, Maryland 21727, all of my residual estate to be used for general purposes by the Seminary.
