Since its founding in 1808 by Father John DuBois, Mount St. Mary’s College has been dedicated to graduating men and women with the training, self-confidence, and vision to make the world a better place.
As we move forward in the rapidly expanding and ever-changing age of information technology, the challenge is to educate students in the collection, management, access, dissemination and analysis of computerized data in order to develop new knowledge to bridge a widening “digital divide.”
This challenge has prompted the establishment of the Father Delaney Center for Public Sector Information (CPSI).
The Center is committed to:
- Providing quality educational opportunities for current professionals requiring improved analytical skills.
- Providing high academic standards in the merging of professional and technical instruction.
- Improving the understanding of the uses of information technology.
- Applying the results of basic social research to solving public sector problems.
