Graduate Program
Some graduate courses require several field experiences. The field experience course requirements will usually be met at one of the established Professional Development Schools (PDS) in Frederick County, Maryland. All field experiences in schools taken as part of Internship I or II will require placement of the teacher candidate in a PDS. The education department will manage the details and arrangements for all placements. Names of PDS partners can be obtained from the education office.
Professional Development Schools (PDS)
MAT candidates are immersed in coursework and teaching at one of our professional development schools. Preparation in a PDS enables the school system and the college to work together to improve teaching and learning for all students.
