Financial Aid & the Mount

Most families at Mount St. Mary's receive a wide variety of financial aid, including scholarships and grants, that significantly reduces the cost of attending the Mount. Last year, more than $25 million was awarded to Mount students, with an average freshman award of $16,900. Every year we support more than 95 percent of Mount families with financial aid. The university awards numerous academic scholarships annually, ranging from $5,000 to full tuition. We are very proud of our commitment.

To apply for all sources of aid from the university as well as aid from federal and state programs, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) along with the Mount St. Mary's Financial Aid Application. The FAFSA is available in your high school guidance office or on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Mount St. Mary's Financial Aid Application is available in the university's admissions office or on-line at www.msmary.edu/financialaid. The Mount continues its commitment to making college affordable for students and their families.
